Definition

Prophase: The first phase of CELL NUCLEUS division, in which the CHROMOSOMES become visible, the CELL NUCLEUS starts to lose its identity, the MITOTIC SPINDLE APPARATUS appears, and the CENTRIOLES migrate toward opposite poles.
